Recruiting

Our recruiting and search process is thorough, consistent, targeted, and specific which has allowed us to become industry leaders when it comes to successful placements. This process utilizes a variety of resources to identify, attract, and present candidates to our clients, giving them the opportunity to select the best talent for their company, and giving the candidates an opportunity at a fresh start and a new career.

Process

Our process follows a very specific and thorough six-part structure that we have developed internally, and used successfully many times in the past. The length of time it takes to complete varies by employee and job position, but generally takes anywhere from 6-15 weeks from start to finish.

Initial Consultation

A meeting is had between the stakeholders of the job to discuss the business issues, conduct a competency based job analysis, identify critical competencies required to achieve specific objectives and targets, identify potential sources of candidates, and agree on preferred interview processes and timelines. This process usually takes about a half-day or so to go through.

Research

We will utilize our database, network of contacts, industry directories, standard internet searches, association contacts, and more to develop a recruiting list. This list will be managed and updated by the assigned account manager who is in turn responsible to identify potential candidates. This step can range anywhere from one to four weeks.

Interviews

The account manager will interview and screen candidates, and then prepare and present a short list of the top candidates to the client. The account manager will then coordinate interviews between the client and the top choices, conducting all necessary reference checks beforehand. Meetings with the client are normally handled in a series of first, second, and final interviews but may vary depending on the client’s wishes and the qualifications of the applicant. This entire process can take anywhere from two to five weeks, with up to three weeks being spent on client interviews alone.

Feedback

Following each interview with the client, the account manager will debrief the candidate and provide feedback to the client about all potential areas of concern.

Offer & Resignation

The Account Manager will actively participate in drafting, presenting, and negotiating the offer, as well as taking responsibility for “closing the deal”. The account manager will work with the candidate to prevent a counteroffer situation, assist in drafting the resignation letter, and psychologically prepare the candidate and counsel him or her through the process. This typically takes about a week or two from start to finish.

Start Date

The Account Manager will ensure that the candidate starts with the new employer as quickly as possible following their resignation. The standard at the manager level and above is four weeks. This time frame excludes a competitive situation, which may result in he or she being available within one to two weeks. We normally recommend that an individual take up to a week of holidays if possible in order to ensure a positive outlook and a fresh start.
